Going to be in LA for a few days for a medical conference. Staying at the Westin Bonaventure. Can you recommend a couple of open air or indoor 50m pools within a reasonable distance (and ones that are open to the public)?

There is a 25m open air (roofed/covered) pool in Echo Park that is rather interesting. Carry a gun.
USC’s pool. No idea what their policy is to the public now.
Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Simply magnificent.

x 2! The YMCA is connected by a bridge with the Bonaventure, so it couldn’t be more convenient.
Check swim.net. They have sessions at the USC Olympic pool. Also the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center is about a 10 minute drive from your hotel.
