What you are looking for does not exist.
This guy claims to have what you desire. Though it is compatable with 8/9/10 speed.
Sure it does. 2005 and newer for sure, possibly 2004 or some portion of that year as well.
I’ve seen and touched them. They definitely exist.
His original post said “clincher.” Zipp has a handful of clincher discs out there right now, but none are 650c, apparently the Zipp clincher disc is coming soon though.
That said, there are definitely none afew years old as hesaid he was looking for.
I’ve got a 650c tubular Zipp disc. The disc itself is about 4-6 years old but the entire hub and axle assembly was replaced by Zipp about 2 months ago with a 2006 Shimano 10 speed compatible hub (red hub). No dents - very clean. This is the most true/round wheel I have ever seen. The wheel itself has very low mileage and the hub has no mileage. New Continental Comp glued on. $500 shipped.

is it dimpled and can you send pictures
.
Not dimpled. I think the dimples came out in '05 and this disk is older that '05. Still interested? If so, I’ll take some pix and post them tomorrow night. That’s the soonest I can get to it. Thanks.
The one I’m selling in the above link IS the dimpled model and 10spd compatible. I have been running Shimano 9spd. I’m not sure of the model year…2003-2004 maybe. I bought it new, direct from Zipp and it has been used for racing only. It had the 3 red/yellow Zipp decals on each side which I removed. I do have another set of stickers, but they are for a 404. Easy enough to cut off the ‘404’ section and just have the Zipp logos. Can’t post pics yet, since it is not back from Florida, but it is in excellent condition with no crashes, no dents, no scratches, etc, etc. $600+shipping (paypal OK).
I would be willling to pay anywhere from $500-$700 for a Zipp dimpled disc, if I was to buy a non dimpled disc I can buy a HED disc brand new for $550. Sorry but I’ll have to pass.
Thanks for your reply
sent you a pm

I hear you, but I think the rest of Slowtwitch nation would like to buy a dimpled Zipp disc for $500 too. HED discs are nice, but they are a bit heavier and they dent easily. Not to mention you don’t get that… sound. Good luck with your search.

According to Zipp website, the dimpled disc wheel was introduced in 2003.
