I was just on the new Look-Cycle USA website and my impression is that Look is making a stong run at the triathlon market by teaming up with Dave Scott.
Any other thoughts or comments? Anyone else think he will be at Kona in '09? Perhaps racing against Lance?
Scott hasn’t competed in Kona for 13 years. I think it is fair to assume, unless Scott has mentioned otherwise, that he has retired from the Big Island.
If he can recover from a run injury, he may well be back at Kona this year…racing as a PRO: “I’ve got a big ego, and I’ve never raced as an age-grouper”…

Well, he competed in 2001, until his DNF on the bike. He stated in the past year that if he could have gotten a nagging heal problem squared away he would have raced last October.
He wants another crack at Kona and if he can get himself in the kind of shape he feels will lead to a good race, my guess is he will compete. I would imagine that LOOK knows the potential value of Dave Scott on it’s bike.
I can hardly wait for the Dave Scott vs Lance thread…

Who would win? Would Lance have to give Dave a few second head start for the age difference?

Sue, I’m going to be 53 this year and grew up in Wisconsin and went to Madison for my undergrad…any chance we could have crossed paths back in those mid-70’s/early-80’s days? 'Course I was more of a basketball/tennis guy until Syttende Mai in 1984…
