i had a split squat (ie like lunges cept you dont move your leg forward) of around 130kgs (286lbs) doing 3x8 sets.

Long course also takes more of a toll on the body, necessitating that IM athletes be a bit “hardy” than their ITU counterparts. Plus, you need something to show off in the briefs and man-bra!
