Lock Ring tool fit both SRAM & Shimano?

Hi,
I have been using SRAM cassettes for a long while. I asked my bike shop to replace my SRAM cassette with a wider gear configuration and he did so with a Shimano cassette without asking.

I am changing out my cassettes and now the lock ring I used for the SRAM cassette doesn’t seem to work with the Shimano cassette.

Is that the case? Do I now have to find a lock ring tool to fit the Shimano cassette?

Pretty sure the lockring tool (from Park Tool) I have says it works with both SRAM and Shimano.

Pretty sure the lockring tool (from Park Tool) I have says it works with both SRAM and Shimano.

The tool I have is a FR-1. It looks like on-line I need a FR-5 that will fit both SRAM and Shimano? What is the number on your lockring tool?

I have the FR-5G, which is basically the same tool at the FR-5.

I have the FR-5G, which is basically the same tool at the FR-5.
