This douche hasn’t answered 3 emails in as many days…dying to find out what year or size. I’m really hesitant to bid on something from someone who can’t respond to an email, but might anyway if I can verify a few things. Notice he calls it a ‘Vortex’ in the ad…makes me think he doesn’t know his head from his ass.
They list some tube sizing, but I don’t trust random measurements. The real thing I want to know is if this is one of the 26" or 700c Blades. The wheels look awfully small…26"?
Yes it is a Litespeed Blade, I have a friend who has one very similar to this one only his is painted red. At 56cm it should be 700 wheel size. The year I would guess is late 1990s or very early 2000s.
Thanks for the heads up, but I’m going to keep on bargain basement hunting. I have no problem with riding 15-20 year old titanium, just want to make sure it fits. The deals on used ti are just scary right now.
i think it’s a 2001. the integrated HS wasn’t introduced until on the blade until 2002.
It looks like litespeed used 650s up to a 55 frame, and jumped to 700s on 57 frames at that time.
I would guess this is a 55cm, and not a 56. So, 650s.
Mind you, like the seller, I don’t know my head from my ass … I just have more time to google stuff.
Yea I just noticed it has the funky shaped head tube badge…‘the flying wedge’ for lack of a better term. That should help me narrow down the year. Damn I hate 26" wheels…they eff up a lot of used bike purchase decision trees.

I’m dying now. I got ahold of a buddy who told me w/o a doubt it’s a 2001 b/c that is the year they used the faded paint schemes, plust the oversize top tube. Now if Litespeed only had the 01-03 catalogs available online…they skipped those years:(
It’s not 2001. The 2001 model does not have the aero seat tube. It also possessed the wedged shaped front end. I am a proud owner of a 2001 Blade. Bought it new and have never had the desire to “upgrade”.

So let me get this straight b/c I’m totally confused.

We are not comparing the guy’s photo here who is trying to sell…we are comparing the link in my original post which is a Blade for sale on eBay. The 2001 doesn’t have an aero post/tube I agree. Bikepedia shows a pic of the 2001 and it looks exactly like the one on eBay, but don’t want to go by looks alone.
I have a 2001 Blade (650c), size 55, Dura-Ace components, Profie T2+ bars that I’d consider selling if you are interested. It has the less obscene top-tube compared to the one you are looking at on ebay. I have a digital copy of the manual for it as well if you want to check geometries. PM me if you want to discuss.
You are correct, both the ebay and bikepedia Blades look like their 2001 models. I commented on the Blade pictured above. I did not mean to add to the confusion of this place. s/f

I agree …somewhere in that time frame…I’ll throw a dart and say 99’.
I ride an 05’ and am very happy with it for what it’s worth , trusty steed she is.
