Does anyone know where I can find a list of UCI legal TT bikes? I’m trying to get into some stage races and time trials but not sure if my fuji D6 that I’ve been doing triathlons on is UCI legal or not. My hunch is no, but I haven’t been able to find a list anywhere.
Your D6 is NOT UCI legal (if that matters)
.
what stage races are you doing that uci legality is even an issue? in US it is a non-issue for 99% of TT events in or out of stage races, even at Elite Nats
I think I had it in my head that in order to be allowed in USA Cycling events that they had to be UCI legal. Don’t look now, my newbie is showing.

yeah pretty much unless you are in the cat 1/2 NRC stage races or national TT you are ok. If you were doing cat 1/2 NRC stage races, you would know, because you would be more awesome than us.
in fact even national TT has been ok in some categories, like masters
even elite nats TT is ok without UCI legal, unless you are in U23 or Junior 17-18
already checked since it is 22miles away
.
This may not answer your question - “is my bike UCI race legal?”, however it might help to answer “what makes a bike UCI race legal?”
Do a search on
Equipment and position controls - 2012 - EN
It redirects you to a Canadian website - Americans are allowed to look at Canadian sites I assume?
Hope this helps

If the frame only went on sale for the first time after 1/1/2011 then it must be on the list of UCI approved frames
If the frame was on sale before 1/1/2011 then it doesn’t have to go through that approval process, but it still has to pass all the section and envelope requirements
