I have an xlab…not the wing thing but the low one…anything lighter?
and of quality?
Try the Tacx… fairly cheap and sits low.
The Hydro Tail…it’s pretty damn light.
Here you go.
Works great.
Where can I get one?
Do these go on/off easily? I like behind the seat for training/long rides where I don’t have support. For HIM/IM I use an aerodrink and my frame cage. I have the profile behind the seat bracket and it is a pain before races because I have to take out the post every time.
Also, where can I get oneand what do they cost?
Email Andrew and he will set you up with one. It is pretty easy to take on and off but I would personally not do it a more than a couple of times a year.
I’ve got to say, that is a really nice looking piece of equipment. I’m going to try to get one next season. Can you stick a bag under it for training rides? Looks like there isn’t much clearance between the cages and the seat post.
thanks,

Stadler stuffed a seat bag in between his seat post and the HydroTail (cover of this month’s Inside Tri shows it nicely). It’s not the easiest thing to get on and off (just because you have to spread the carbon a bit) but a few times a year should be no big deal. I agree it’s a reasonable product for a Benjamin.
I like the Tacx, light, you can use 1 or 2 bottles, cheep and best of all its a clean set up. I place a Chrono aero bottle on mine for racing. Workes great and the bottle stays put.
Tacx…
Can you post a picture, or direct to a website for this set up?
Trisports.com. And ‘slowtwitch’ code oughta get you 15% off.
that’s a good deal with the discount…
Anybody know if this thing will work with the Cervelo P2C/P3C seatpost without cutting the rear hole on the seatpost?
Slowtwitch code?
The HydroTail works with those bikes and any bike with a “normal” seat. It has no interferance from the deep seatposts. New pics showing a Cervelo P3Carbon should be up in a day or so on the new beaklerconcepts.com website to demonstrate this.
I think the slowtwitch discount code is “slowtwitch”.
I’ve currently got an arione saddle on my P2C pushed pretty far forward on the rails and the carrier from my previous bike won’t work, so I’m curious if it will work with this combo.
Andrew, hope that you do not mind me showing this off on the bike and on the scale. It is probably the best B.T.S. bottle holder I have ever used. Just need more time with it to change it from probably to definitely.
Yes it is. I just used it the other day.
