LG helmets: men's vs. women's

Other than color I can’t see any difference in them? I’m going to paint the women’s helmet I’m looking at on CraigsList b/c it’s baby blue, but the sizing seems the same? Any other differences…besides the beating my friends will give me when they figure out it was made for split tails!

You not only wear spandex in public but sign up to wear spandex around a few hundred to thousand people in one day and you’re concerned about helmet colour?

No, not at all, I’m concerned if there is anything different in the sizing as I can’t seem to find anything different BUT the color.

Reading comprehension is your friend:)

Well, if you aren’t concerned about the colour, then why in the hell would you paint it? Perhaps writing composition classes are in order.

Because my girlfriend is quite the artist and is going to color match it to my P3SL…wouldn’t matter what I’m buying…it’s gonna get painted. Thanks for you input…very helpful!

I will refresh this post for anyone that actually has some insight or useful commentary:

Does the women’s LG helmet line differ at all in fit/design than the men’s line? I need to know b/c the men’s fits great, but I can’t get hold of a women’s model to try on. Dont’ want to drive 90 minutes to find out it’s a different design, internal pad setup, clasp/buckle or the like.

Thank you

i have one of their women’s helmets, and as far as i know the retention system is the same - they only make the spiderlock or spiderlock elite, not a spiderlock femme.

as far as padding shapes, every manufacturer has a different set anyway - no big deal.

re: sizing, i don’t think it would be terribly different, and my helmet (w/spiderlock elite system) has a huge range of adjustment - more than any other helmet i’ve ever encountered. goes from far too small to far too large with a few cranks on the dial.

for what it’s worth, i have more of an oval-shaped head than a round head, and find the fit perfect. i also wear and like bell and rudy helmets, for comparison.

cheers!
