Lets bash Sam Long's race schedule

I think at this point, you could probably just call this “The official, All encompassing, Sam Long tread”

I know we did one a while back and it didn’t catch on like the Sanders one has, but this thread is really all things Sam Long at this point.

Maybe it’s the catchy title.

Yeah based on Sam’s public persona at least and the two seconds I spent with him, I think if I said “hey, mind if I bash your race schedule to oblivion” he would have the confidence to take it for the humorous phrase as intended.

Just ignore him. He seems to love being petty for the sake of being petty.

@kajet

Let’s take a step back and consider Sam a person with feelings.

He came on here a while ago and asked everyone’s input on T100 schedule vs Ironman Pro Series (or some combo). A lot of people shared useful inputs.

Sam then goes and sets his personal schedule based on what works for him. At least he came and asked us for inputs.

Then a thread comes up “let’s bash Sam…”

Now imagine this is real life in a pub. There is a group over ------> with a sign saying, “Bash Sam Long’s Schedule Here”.

Now if you invite Sam over to that group in the pub is he going to say “Guys, take down the sign, that’s enough” or is he just going to walk away?

@timbasile I like your suggestion. To all the guys who hate me for actually speaking up for a person, you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine. There is no need to make it personal. I did not pick on any of you, I just brought up a point on what I think is gentlemanly comportment or not. @E-Dub can lock my account if he thinks I am out of line.

But if no one puts their necks out on account of incidents of pro “bashing” on this forum we will continue to sustain the reputation of an uninviting place for young pros (or any pros) to frequent at which they can be transparent about their training and racing with us. Over a few decades we have collectively been good at driving pros out of here at our loss.

I Tried to change the title when the thread got some traction - I can’t figure it out!

Yeah I think the edit button goes away after some time (checked on the T100 World Tour thread).

We can always continue the discussion in one of the other Sam Long threads:
