wow…8’ faster than Paul Tergat and off the bike…pretty fast…did he actually get off the bike??
I believe it. This happens to me at large races all the time. A slow biker and swimmer comes charging by me so fast that I don’t even see him, and beats me in the last mile.
Not even Lessing can give up 30 minutes on the run and expect to win. Triathlon is all about the run. Looks like he is going to have to get his half marathon time down into the low 50 minutes if he expects to win anything.
impossible, i don’t believe anyone can run that fast
.
Looks like someone cut the run course. Did one lap instead of two?
Check to see if the athlete was in a wheelchair. I remember 9 or 10 years ago doing the Muskoka tri and I had a great run in the 52 or low 53 minute range for 15k. I went to check the results and had the 2nd fastest run overall and found the fastest run down on the 3rd or 4th page of the results … it was 46 minutes! At the awards they called up the athlete that had posted that time and he wheeled up and made jokes about all of us cheating on the bike by using our legs Those guys in the wheelchairs can really move on the right course!
Naw…it was only an error…They’ve corrected the results. He’s no longer posted as #1. Lessing gets his win back : )
There was a guy that did a 58:xx there, but I did not see anyone in the results with the times you show.

people…who knows anything about running???
the WR for a half is 59’ by paul Tergat…
no triathlete is remotely close to this, FRESH
But the question remains… does Tergat knows how to swim ?
This is triathlon. We are Ironmen. We need to raise the bar. Apparently low 50 minutes is the new benchmark.
I will demonstrate for you on the treadmill in Miami airport.
OK…I’m waiting…gate F18…boarding in 1h so hurry up…
You are going for the record: 10 hours straight posting on Slowtwitch! Now that’s love! LOL
nah, nah…I was off line during each flight.
2 done - 2 to go…
hearing a lot more portuguese here waiting for boarding…
ready to use all the useful portuguese, SAC, Sergio, sedi, Jose taught me…
Such as Palhaço and Estupido ? Friend’s advice, don’t use it very often…
I’m out to bed, had enough for today.
How long does it normally take before they post the results of AG’ers that qualified for Kona?
I have no idea. I was following the results of 2 friends, one trying to qualify for Kona but missed by about 15 minutes in her age group. She took 7th. Must have had a bad day. I’ve seen her goes lots faster.
Ironmanlive has the results and for the most part none of the slots rolled down, except in mens 35-39 and they rolled down to 8th place, I think. All the women AGs got one slot, mens25-29 got two, mens30-34 got 3 or 4 as did 35-39 and 40-44. Or something like that.
