While we are loving the cervelo/csc reports, does anyone have a handy list of what teams are using what bikes on Le Tour. How many US brands v Euro v Other?
You can probably find out what teams are sponsored by which bike manufacturers, but as to what bike everyones actually riding, that might be a little trickier, since some of the more wealthier (i.e. good) riders buy bikes on their own and rebadge em. This includes lance who rode a blade early on, and the now retired richard virenque (sp?) who rode a vortex for a bit.
Off the top of my head (memory test) here goes:
T Mobile (Giant), Discovery (Trek), Libery Seguros (BH rebadged Giants), Saunier Duval (Scott), Cofidis (Wiler), Gerolsteiner (Specialised), CSC (Cervelo), Quick Step (Time), Fassa Bortolo (Pinarello), FDJ (Lapierre), Illeas Balears (Opera), Liquigas (Bianchi), Bouyges Telecom (Time), Ag2R (Decathlon), Dimina Vacanze (Colnago), Lampre (Cannondale), Phonak (BMC) and one I had to look up Rabobank (Colnago).
Phew !!!
Isn’t McEwen still on a rebadged Litespeed?
RP
Doesn’t look like a Litespeed that is for sure ;

Euskaltel-Euskadi ride Orbea’s
.
Can’t believe you had to look up Rabobank after staring at Colnago’s for hours on end after they took two succesive stages after LONG breakaways last week!
NUTS!
That is definitely a Ridley.
and one I had to look up Rabobank (Colnago)
Kind of interesting to note that Rasmussen (current KOM) is riding a very limited production, superlight lugged carbon frame in the mountains this year:
Note that his bike uses a clamp-on style front deraileur and the lack of a bottle on the seat tube. The frame reportedely weighs in under 950 grams with a sub-300 gram fork so that might mean the material on the seat tube is too thing to hold the bosses for braze-on deraileur and water bottle cage mounts.
