Las Vegas T100

The Daily Tri will not render my revised pick as an image this evening, so I edited the existing one.

Hope Mika will recover quickly.

It looks like the weather has cooled off a bit, & the water temp is going to be right on the edge of wetsuit legal.

Most of the pros are doing their familiarization in wetsuits, so… probably a wetsuit swim

My revised pics.

Matt Mac is on the start list now.

So they’re doing EW bets, I think there’s some money to be made, Lucy Byram hasn’t been doing too badly, 33/1 has definitely got my attention. Duffy might finally have got herself dialled in, worth a few quid, Phillipp riding the high after Nice may also be worth a few quid.

Nothing has really jumped out at me there, will be backing by boy Brownlee as always, Youri may be worth a punt and Schoemans odds has defo got my attention!

You guys may wish to amend your WPRO picks. Derron is ‘in the house’! (As my earlier posts intimated (and @sfjab said she was here two days ago).)

[At 8:13]

The wait list is dated 11 Nov and does not feature McElroy. I guess USAT may have added him to it late on to allow him to to be pulled up (as Noodt’s replacement).

15th overall, hoping to break into the top 10 after the weekend!

Can’t remember if Schoeman has done a MD race before, he’s going to light up this swim though im sure!

He raced Bahrain last December but couldn’t stay with the front group in the second half of the bike. Matched Van Riel’s 1:10 run time, running up into #2.
He has a Taupo start.
A podium finish (25 points) here would probably earn him a start in the T100 final next month.

If he can podium or even win, he’s going to make me some decent money with the odds they have him on.

I wonder what sort of time he can put into Sam Long on the swim.

Schoeman is all in for the middle distance/70.3/T100 racing now; if he could improve his bike slightly he’d be a serious contender for most races he does.

Weird. I thought it said it was starting at 9AM EST, but now it is saying 5PM.

I am confused. I had my coffee ready, dog walked…all ready to go.

I chuckled when one of the podcasts put Brownlee for the win, but that is who I am rooting for

Brownlee could do well in Vegas. He seems to be hitting some form, and with a tough bike it could suit him.

Dont see Derron with any odds, if they were 3 to 1 or better I would put my money there for sure. about 15 minutes to race start it looks like, ladies are halfway through the bike in the Grand Final now…Great day for triathlon watching!!

Not that I think Taylor is not going to win, but with those odds it is too much of a gamble for pennies in a sport where so much can happen to derail a favorite

The one who looks really under the radar looks like Paula Findlay. She’s losing time to Knibb but not as much as everyone else.

Chelsea is pretty good for first time commentary.
