Las Vegas Swimming and Riding

I’m heading to Las Vegas next week and need to find a nice place to swim on Thursday and a good place to cycle and run as well. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

red rock canyon about 15 miles from the strip is a nice place to ride to and ride around and there are great running trails, too! the loop- at red rock canyon is maybe around 13 miles and has some nice rolling terrain- super picturesque. there are bike lanes on the main road that heads up there… have fun!

When I traveled there, I brought my bike. I swam at the Bellagio where I stayed as the huge main pool have 3 lanes on the far left roped off for lap swimming.

I biked to red rock canyon as the other poster rec - very pretty. I also biked out past Lake Mead and all the way down to the Hoover damn and back. VERY cool ride (but be prepared for some self support - no cell phone coverage or stops for a while and very hot). Also, the climb back out of the Damn is not for the faint hearted :wink:

Biggest issue is getting out of town as the traffic is absolutely terrifying, so leave super early and be careful on the way back in!

Thanks Guys…that is exactly what I was looking for…Just weird that no local athletes are on here…Yet anyway?? Should be a very fun HOT week!!!

For running there is a run from the Nike Store at Caesars but i don’t know what day, or there is a Village Runner Thurday night run out in Henderson that leaves at 6:30 at 110 degrees w/ beer and nachos at Chili Palmers afterwards.
