LA's answer to Nytro!

I took someone’s suggestion (see my earlier post for shops in LA) and went to Pacific Tri & Running. And…WOW! This shop is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they know thier sh*t. They did a great job on my tuneup, and thier selection seems to be pretty good. They don’t have the same bike selection as Nytro yet, but keep in mind that they’re a new shop. Oh, and they’re the new shop sponser for the LA Tri Club too. You should definitely give them a try. It’s the kind of shop where you feel comfortable hanging out and drooling over all the cool toys. www.pacifictri.com (they’re in encino). The manager (Sean), and the owner (Beth) are both athletes, and my wife wants me to say to all the female triathletes that they have cute clothes. (she’s literally standing over my shoulder).

Agreed. Although I have never visited the shop, I will say Beth Sierra is one of the greatest retailers I have ever worked with…same catagory as TDEMERLY!

She is very innovative…not afraid to try different methods to gain customers.

Beth and Pacific Tri’s most distinguished trait compared to other retailers…same as Bikesport MI, “customer friendly”. Hard to find in the bike shops for some odd reason. Oh yeah, they both are big pushers of Crank!

are they FIST certified or have a good expertise in bike fitting?

Both Pacific Tri and Bikesport are FIST certified. Both passed with flying colors. Therefore they are ready to fit any multisporter.

Wether you are traveling to a militia meeting in MI or to a porn audition in San Fernando Valley, you can be FISTED.
