Lanzarote 70.3 logistics

Interested to hear from anybody that has travelled to Lanzarote 70.3 from the UK?

I’m looking to travel there the week prior to the race and have a weeks holiday and combine with the event.

Did you stay at La Santa? There’s not a lot of availability there and wondered what other accommodation options there are close by?

I do fancy the whole hotel / pool / half or full board - can’t be bothered with self catering for just a weeks stay, just want to turn up ride the bike, eat and lay by the pool.

Suggestions?
