Landice L7, Garmin, Tacx, and Apple TV connectivity

Good Morning,
I am building a paincave. I would like to set up a treadmill next to my TACX NEO trainer and have it communicate with training apps being run on Apple TV4k (Zwift for now I think?) to a TV mounted on the wall. I also have iPad and iPhone, and a cheap PC laptop.
I have scoured the internet and called the local dealer and received a phone call from the regional sales guy at Landice and nobody could answer what was required for the treadmill to communicate. Is all I need the Wahoo GymConnect? I can not
find any pics or pdf’s of the L7’s display from the back side to even look for a available port. I assume I would need a footpod also? I have quite a bit of Garmin equipment Edge 520 for bike and 920XT and Forerunner 35 for other activities.
BTW, I ended up with Landice L7 due to height limitations in my basement and the reviews. The L7 has a step up height of only 5.5 inches. I am 70" my ceiling is 83" and I can get another 7" if I remove the ceiling in-between the joists.
The only healthculb in the town I live in Northern Illinois has 12+ year old treadmill’s that are not stable and the displays suck and vibrate.
If anybody has some some experience with a similar set up, or bought a L7 and regretted it, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, is there a advantage in running a rubber mat under the entire treadmill or will 3x3" samples under each footpad be fine?

Regards,

I have a L8 with the cardio panel and there is a CSAFE port.

Now, will it work? Unsure. I’m in the same boat, just haven’t spent the 100 bucks to find out.

Thank you,
I was planning on getting the cardio panel also.

Thank you,

No problem.

I think the cardio is best for a few reasons, lifetime warranty and the other panel isn’t (can’t recall the name off hand). Not touch screen, pain in the ass with constant sweaty fingers all over it. Simplicity of the cardio, doesn’t have a TV screen that you don’t need.

My friend has the L7, same reason as you, step up height and low basement. I ran on it and liked it so I did some research and ended up with mine.

I do use RunSocial and works perfect raising and lowering the incline and speed. I think with some more effort pit into the app it could really be neat.

As far as a mat, my retailer told me to use one, so I did. I have tile floor in my basement as info.

I opted for the optional tablet holder to hold my iPad also, however once I get the TV situation figured out I will most likely remove it.

Any other questions let me know, hope the additional info helps.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts X2
That was very useful information. The nearest dealer is 55mi away. I will be heading there soon, but in the mean time of course I am wanting to figure out all I can.
