Apparently you haven’t been following but Lance has won every IM race this year by a wide margin… he broke 7 hours in Germany after winning the TDF the previous day. It’s been a remarkable summer.
He also won the recent wife carrying world championships by carrying Frankie Adreu, George Hincapie and Floyd Landis on his back. Afterwards he was quoted as saying, “those bitches have been on my back for years… at least I won something today for the troubles.”
So yes, he will be in Kona and I’ll be disaapointed if he doesn’t have the top split in each disclipline.
I guess nobody really wants that guy to show up now.

There is definitely some smoke billowing from Juan Pelota and Lance’s kitchen. Juan spanked out 4500 yds yesterday and LA had a hard masters swim today. Put that together and those boys are swimming a lot for being retired;) Plus some runs thrown in. He also cruised through a nice mtb race a short time back and passed on Leadville as to not disrupt his rythym and having to dig extra deep. All the signs of a classic big time stealthy run-up No???
