I have booked a condo in Lake Placid for the week of ironman from Tuesday, July 21 to Tuesday, July 28. I stayed in this condo last year with some others from SlowTwitch and loved it. I will be using one of the rooms and am looking for others seeking accommodations that week who may be interested in taking the other rooms.
Condo details:
-4 bedroom condo with (2 Queen bedrooms and two rooms with 2 twin beds each)
-4 full bathrooms (no sharing bathroom on race day!!!)
-full kitchen
-dining room
-large living room with television, VCR, cable, etc.
-BBQ
-washer/dryer
-small games room
-lots of space for race equipment inside condo
-Close to the centre of Lake Placid. For those familiar with the area, the condo is just down the road from the Whiteface in. When driving into LP it is quite close to the grocery stores and mini-putt. It’s a very short bike/drive into down, or a fairly quick walk. The race shuttle also stops close by.
During race week the condo rents for just a little over $4000, which means each room is $1000 and change. If two people want to share the twin rooms the price would drop to $500 per person. Either way that’s a pretty good price for LP that week, especially given the amenities in the condo.
