I’m considering doing either the Lake Placid 70.3 or the Montreal 70.3 in 2012. Ultimately the race will help me decide on whether or not to do my first full Ironman in 2013. I’m hoping some of you out there have done both or at least one of the Montreal and/or Lake Placid events and have some advice on which one is a better race. Any help is appreciated! Thank you
I’ve never heard of either of those. Mt tremblant is near Montreal so I assume that might the Montreal one. It’s new for 2012 so there isn’t much to say. Unless it too is new for 2012 there is no half in lake placid. Tupper lake is near by so if that’s what you mean I’d suggest that one. It was my first, it’s a good race and it’s much cheaper than any WTC race.
I think the closest official 70.3 to Lake Placid is the one in Syracuse. I haven’t heard of any plans for a Placid 70.3.
