In my quest for a new road bike - I’ve been looking at the kuota kharma - Im about to be fitted next week
Has anyone tried one out? what do they think?
How does it compare to say an R2.5 or a Guru Racelite?
Thanks

I love it! My wife just got me one for Christmas, and the ride is very smooth. I can’t compare it to the other bikes you mentioned, but I don’t have any complaints.
The Kharma was on my list, but I heard it was more of a high end doctor/lawyer bike, not a pure race bike. This may be what you want, but I would compare the R2.5 and Racelite to the Kredo. The Kredo is the lighter, stripped down race model, from what I have been told. I went with the Scott CR-1 and love it.
Thanks for the responses so far…
the Kredo may be more of the race bike but…
Pricewise - the Kredo frameset is almost as much as a R2.5 Chorus or Ultegra racelite! The kharma is more in my price range
How do you like your scott?
Please, give me a break. Yes, both are Canadian, but one is pure bike porn. You know and I know which one you want. You don’t need any support. In fact they should rate this bike as XXX.
My bad, I was thinking you were asking about the Khan, not the Kharma. Ignore my previous post. Love the Scott. I still get dropped on hard climbs, kind of embarrassing on that bike.
As much as the R2.5 is sexy - you have to admit this is pretty damn sexy as well
.
Please explain what “my bad” means? I thought this was Tibbs missing words or typos but it seems in standard useage here. Is it a downhome version of I am bad? My mistake? or what?
Oh yes!! Oh yes please. You have to get both of them – can I come to watch?
My bad=my mistake. I really don’t like the phrase, not sure why I wrote it. Fewer letters and I’m a poor typist, I guess.
Thanks for explaining that to me, I sometimes think that English & American is like Spanish & Portuguese, similar until something hits you from leftfield!
shame on you for jacking a kuota thread…
I fine you one kalibur ![]()
You’re not getting it! But you can have a fine 56cm Kestrel 200sci in Kona Blue with a custom IM paint job for a great price!!!
I have been told by the dealer that the kharma comes with a reversible seat post (similar to the soloist)
can anyone confirm this (how come no one has mentioned this before)? Does it work as well as on the soloist?
I got the chance to ride the Khan not the Kharma before purchasing. I found it too stiff for a carbon. I also tried the Scott CR-1 which to my opinion, has the right stifness (and the lightest production frame). I bought the Scott. No regrets so far.
I also get dropped on the climbs with this bike. But it doesn’t bother me. I just enjoy my day on my bike.
Where’s leftfield ? Is that somewhere south of London ?
i’m surprised at you, leftfield is the groundbreaking, high-energy, beat and sample heavy techno-electronic musical duo who produced the defining dance album of the 90’s in “leftism” … duh.
“Left Field” came from the fact at one baseball field, there was a Mental Sanitarium behind the left outfield. I already forgot which baseball field this was, but I saw this fact on one of the educational cable TV channels.
No, that’s Petersfield!! The other two above are right though!
