I have been running in K-Ona S shoes and enjoying it very much. I am looking to try Kwicky Blade Light. What should I expect. Anyone ran in both that can compare them. I intend to train daily, fast and long runs in them as K-Ona allowed me to do that. How does Kwicky Blade Light stand there. Also, how durable is it.
Thanks
Are the Kwicky blades even available yet? Last I saw they were still in the “coming soon” section.
I have a pair of the K-ona shoes and was wondering what the “S” stands for on the K-ona S stands for. And likewise for the “C” version. My guess was “special” and “cushion”???
It just signifies the difference in upper material.
I remember seeing a posting about this earlier. I think the “S” stood for stability and the “C” stood for cushion.
Thanks!!
Btw, the Kwicky blades are not out yet. Just went to the K-Swiss sight. They are still in the “coming soon” section.
Looks like March 21st for the Kwickys:

Also, as the other poster stated, the C and S simpy designate the upper material. Same shoes apart from the difference in upper. I’m running in the k-onas and love them. Although, I just started running in the Mizuno Musha and think my k-onas have been replaced. If you like the k-onas do check out the mushas.
I primarily wear my Newton’s. First shoe I have worn that didn’t hurt my knee. However, I’m getting annoyed that I have had 2 brand new pair of shoes from Newton start tearing at the seams. No reason for 155.00 and 175.00 shoes to do that. So, I started running in my K-ona’s for the last week and my knee is feeling good. I do love the ventilation in both the Newtons and the Kswiss, but the cushion in the Newtons are a little nicer. The PRICE for K-Swiss are a lot nicer. I’m going to get a different insole for the K-ona’s and see what happens. If they work, I may try the Kwicky Blades. If they only come in yellow, then I’ll just try a pair of the Blade Lite’s.
I am currently rotating K-Ona S and Elixir 5. Elixir 5 is a good shoe, just a bit too firm for my taste. AP+ is responsive no doubt but on occasion or two I thought my teeth fillings were going to come out. It feels as if there is no forefoot cushion, even though there is, I know. It does protect well and is durable for such a light shoe. I will have 400mi when I am done with them, another 2 weeks. K-Ona shoes have a few weeks also, so I have a shoe that I like, just wanted to try Kwicky Blade before committing to another pair of K-Onas.
Musha seems along the similar lines with Elixir 5, relatively firm shoe. Would love to try it but nobody in Kansas City carries them. Here is the list of shoes I wanted to try:
NB 905, seems similar in forefoot feel as K-Ona, I had it on my foot but did not run in them, like the fact that NB makes shoes in US
Saucony Mirage
Kwicky Blade Light
They are already in stock and available on Wiggle.
