I am in the process of uploading the ironmanlive Webcast for Slowtwitchers to download and watch. Format is .asf (streaming video as transmitted). I have opened and viewed in both RealPlayer and Windows Media Player.
The link will remain active for one week, after which time interested parties will have to acquire it through another upload or other means like P2P sharing.
I’ll continue posting links as uplods are completed.
As Tom D. likes to say, fiddlesticks. This is the email they send to the recipient when the upload is completed, so apparently they set a limit on the number of downloads:
Hello from YouSendIt,You’ve got a file called “kona2005-p1.ASF” (304988 KB) waiting for download.Message:ironmanlive Kona broadcast, Part OneYou can click on the following link to retrieve your file. The link will expire in 7 days and will be available for a limited number of downloads.Regular link (for all web browsers):http://s23.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3B244KACITV04084QAJQ1XE57Z
There is usually a download limit on yousendit to stop leeching. The folks that download the file should pay it forward and re-up the file and post the new link. It will last longer that way and it’s free. Try rapidshare next time because the links don’t die. Once I split the one that I have I can upload. What did you use?
Is there any way to put this on a bittorrent tracker, that would be the best option. That way, we all share the bandwidth needed to get the files out. It’s the ideal medium for this size of file.
I put it on E-mule look at my other post. Right now I’ve got my bandwidth wide open. My brother hooked up and is downloading at roughy 40KBs. Still slow coompared to a direct download but I have 40 chunks. If each person picks a chunk it can be out there pretty quick and people can be loading from multiple sources.
