The ambient air temp is rarely 100 deg. I think it was almost 70 years ago since that happenend. But don’t worry…the temp on the ground in the lava fields is still 100+.

You might like that one a little better?
I do not know what it has been like on a daily basis, but when I was there last Friday for work it was seriously hot and humid. It was the kind of weather that makes me wonder how anybody even finishes the race.
This one is better

looks like it’s raining there

sergio…remember…WE like cold rainy day…
jonny had the cat outside. he was wearing some sort of speedo thing. He had a flashlight on a chair pointing at his shirtless body. it was like a disco ball, bright lights flashing everywhere as he twirled in circles chanting ““pluie”” over and over. the cat was growling like only a cat can, and he kept chanting pluie, pluie, pluie. very disturbing I must say.
i just rode into town from the condo we’re staying at…i’m freaking soaked. still warm (i’m from canada…everything is warm)…but absolutely pouring.
yesterday was really nice though…not humid, and nice and warm.
the past few days have been really really warm, even according to the locals (sat through monday)
The weather.com forecast always shows the forecast as rain or clouds and mid 80’s…probably b/c there is a chance of rain every_single_day, Trust me tho, it will be hot, humid, SUNNY and windy!

I went to west hawaii today and they showed this for the weather which looks a hell of alot better than any of the others I’ve seen

I did Honu 70.3 last June, and I check the weather report everyday and the map showed clouds everytime. When I actually got there, it was sunny everyday, except for a little rain race day getting to Hawi and WINDY.
jonnyo’s satanic rain rituals made it rain in austin - not in kona. he needs to redirect his energy to the west.
I looks like it will feel like 92F on race day, don’t worry! And it will be humid and not much winds

sergio…remember…WE like cold rainy day…
You might get rainy, but it won’t be cold.
The prediction for the wind was SSE at 4 MPH. That seems very low. The rain is maybe not 100% ideal, but may be better than very windy and hot conditions.
In any case, have a great race! I’m a big fan- we’ll all be sending positive energy your way.
