How many of you slowtwitchers are heading to Hawaii?
I’ll be in Kona- not participating (except maybe in the underpants run) but handing out Gatorade all week. Look for Gatorade at the morning swims. (we will have a bag check next the beach)
We will be handing out green Gatorade Bike Bottles (Notice I said “bike bottles” and not “water bottles” - water is Gatorade largest competitor, so we do not use that term for bottles placed on bikes)
We will also be giving out Edge bottles with various flavors at the morning swims. Lemon Lime will be on the bike course on race day, but we do not want athletes to get tired of it before the race.
We do want you to try to put the Edge bottles into your bike cages and make sure you learn to use the twist top as you ride. (Most of the non-Americans have never used the Edge bottle at a race)
Orange Gatorade will be on the run course - ready to drink - no mixes - the volunteers will pour it cold into cups on the run course.
We will also be handing out Gatorade to athletes at the parade start line.
The expo will feature a Gatorade booth with product and information on the USA Triathlon National Training Center.
I also do a Kona Pics pool during the week. Same rules as my Kona Pics on Slowtwitch - pic three men and three women - if your pics get the top 10 they get points. Winner takes home a nice prize for this contest! See me in Kona for details. Z
My wife and I will be there as volunteers working in registration and body marking. We’re ‘training through’ the week to prepare for IM Florida.
I’ll be there. Taking the kids to the volvacoes for two days of hiking then I’ll head to Dig Me Beach Monday morning to start the pre race fun.
I will be heading over to work (mechanic) for Inside Out Sports. If any of you are around, look for me getting nasty with some assemblies. Stop by B&L bike shop and ask Bill where Shawn is and hopefully I will be happily head high in “Can you please listen to this, It was not making this noise before I got here!” Good luck to those who are racing, maybe I will get the IM bug this year.

I’ll be there evening of the 7th nervous and excited I guess like most virgins. My ambition is to finish anything ealse will be icing on the cake. Qualified at Buffalo Springs Lake Tri 1/2 IM. Good Luck to you
