Knee prob. sports med dr. in Dutchess/Westchester Cty NY?

anyone know of a good sports medicine dr. in Dutchess or Westchester county NY. I live in Dutchess and work in Westchester, so I’d be open to either. I’ll have to check their accepted insurance companies, but; any names would be helpful.

Shortly after beginning my run training this year, I began having some right knee problems on the outside of the knee right next to the knee cap. I don’t have any pain when I ride.

I’m 38 and have never had an injury going back through high school xc, swimming and riding my bike everywhere since I had no car.

I’d like to get this taken care of asap since I need to start getting in some longer/faster runs than I’ve been doing since I began in Feb. I’m only able to run 2x’s/wk (about 40min each) and Also, 2x’s/wk (about 45-50min each). So not much volume at all.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went to Dr. Sergai Delamora in Scarsdale and had a good experience. His practice also has in office in NYC. Apparently a lot of Jets players go his practice. I saw him last summer and he was training for an Olympic tri so he’s probably someone who sympathizes with triatheletes. He’s with NY Orthopedics. He didn’t take my insurance.

I had an ITB issue last summer. It only got better after IM CDA and it’s still not a 100% although close. Hopefully you have a quick recovery. Good luck with your injury.

I highly recommend Greenwich Sport Medicine -they are just over the Rye border in Greenwich, CT. DR. Chimes and Dr. Mah are great. They have worked with the US Track & Field Olympic team and treat a ton of local triathletes. About 1.5 months ago I had debilitating ITB issues for about 3 weeks, went there and had no pain within 1 week - they are miracle workers!
