Knee Pain Help!

Ok, I run 2 or 3 times a week about 3 miles. A few weeks back I started getting pain/stiffness in my knee a few hours after runnng. I dropped down to about 1 run a week the past week or so, does not seem to be getting better. Today I ran in the morning then went to work, if I sat to long, i would have the pain, sides of knee and behind (not in the knee) feels kinda stiff also. After walking around for a few minutes it would go away. This evening after driving home it is painful again. I have noticed the pain seems to be when I take weight off the leg.

Going to try riding tomorrow and see if that triggers it also.

Any other thoughts suggestions?

Ya I should see a Dr. more likely I just wont run for a month and see if it heals before I take the time to see a Dr.

Having had some knee prooblems myself, I’d recommend going to see a doctor sooner rather than later. Best to get the diagnosis and then deal with it than risk more damage waiting for it to go away. It could be as simple as the need for better quad/hamstring flexibility, but it could also be something quite serious.

Definitely no doctor. But that is how my knee pain started.

So, first, hit the Doc. Also, you might think about doing some stability training exercises and also doing some work to improve flexibility.
