I am looking for a knee doctor in the NYC area…my girlfriend is having some ongoing issues with possible ITB stuff but maybe some other things that we
can’t quite figure out. I thnk there are some great knee doctors but i’d love somebody who is also a runners/athlete and can pull together other possible factors that may be playing into her knee problem…i.e shoes/muscle imbalances/etc. Somebody who is down to earth and easy to talk to would also be great…she has seen some other doctors but so far she is not having much success and is getting pretty frustrated. Thanks in advance
I had a great experience with Dr. Mark Klion on the Upper East Side.

i like the people at Columbus Circle Physical Rehab & Wellness. Down-to-earth, friendly doctors, and their physical therapists are also great.
Orlin and Cohen and Associates out on Long Island, Dr. Craig Levitz. I’ve had a couple of issues and he has done an excellent job.
I had a good experience with Jordan Metzl when I had ITB issues. He certainly seems to know his stuff when it comes to running injuries. He’s done multiple marathons, IMs, Kona, etc. and works with tons of athletes.
I’ve seen just about all the celebrity doctors listed here and my recommendation is to see Dr. Ronald Grelsamer.

Surprised no one mentioned Hospital for Special Surgery. Or did I miss this?

I think Jordan Metzl works there…not positive though. He was listed above.

yes Metzl is from HSS and that is who I would recommend in terms of someone who is a runner.
Sabrina Strickland, MD is also at HSS and and athlete, her partner is the team doc for the US olympic rowing team - another top notch group.
Dr. Sergai Delamora
