KMC chain and wipperman connex link

I use KMC X10SL chains on my sram drivetrains. I typically use the sram connecting link but grow tired of messing with them. My plan is to switch to the 6.1mm wipperman connex link on the KMC chain. Has anyone successfully used this combination?

I’ve used them for years and really love the ease of installation and removal of the Connex link over both the Sram as well as the KMC master link. The only down side is the extremely high cost of the Connex links.

Why not just buy a few KMC links to keep on hand? You can also buy the two KMC pliers for about $13 each for super easy install and removal, a one time purchase for the tool kit. I’ve been using the KMC chains/connectors for years, love them. Can typically get the silver/grey 10 speed chains from the UK places for sub-$25.

I use the connex link with SRAM chains. The same connex link lasts forever, and it is far and away the easiest way to take a chain apart.

Yes. I use the Wippermann Connex on KMC Gold chain, Shimano 105 chains, & everything in between. No issues whatsoever.

Work great on my ultegra chain / drivetrain. I can’t imgine it would be any different on KMC.

Its a great little piece of gear if you’re into doing your own wrenching.
