Anybody know if/when they’re doing a kid’s splash n’ dash style event at the Kona pier this year?

Sure. They’re having it again. It’s always Tues afternoon (I believe 5pm).

I asked Bree Wee about it and she said it is on Tuesday and there is no pre registration. It is in the athletes guide for Tuesday as well.
It’s at 4pm on Tuesday. Highly recommend it. This will be my 7 year old daughter’s 3rd time doing it. I race right next to her and it’s amazing to witness her determination. It’s the highlight of the week!

It will be awesome to see your twins (and all the other kids) “racing” at Kona, Ben! The last IronKids event I saw was fantastic, and the adults got almost as much out of it as the kids did.

How far do they need to swim? I bet they’d love it, but I’m not sure they can do freestyle in the ocean quite yet!

They can choose from two distances: 50 yd swim/.25 mile run, or 150 yd swim/.9 mile run.
