Tai,

“Hills from Hell” indeed, coupled with +93F temp, and no cloud cover made for a interesting day at the race. My legs are suprisingly okay today, but my time reflected the degree of difficulty of the course. The wind coming back from the Kona airport was killer too.

Did you get the altitude plot from your watch function?

What is the RED plot - the bike altitude?

yeah, that heat was a killer, nice beach day but tough tri day. My quads are a bit sore as are my hips from the downhill but the only thing really hurting is my left adductor, or is it abductor, the one that pulls your leg inward on the inside of your quad. Cramped really hard at mile 50 of the bike and pretty much blew my race from there on. The dark red line is the altitude, bright red is my heart rate. The data is from my polar watch. My HR was pretty low during the run as I was basically jogging and not quite in a racing mood anymore. My HR on the bike was around 165 the whole way. I can put up the whole elevation profile including the bike if you want. I just took a snapshot of the run section.
