Hi all, I’m curious about the Kask aero pro visor that is currently available. I’ve tried to find online aero testing of these versus the standard visor but have been unable to find anything. Being hard to find and expensive to buy, I am reluctant to purchase one just to test it myself.
Would anyone out there know of any published tests, or carried out their own tests?

Like you, I looked`around (but you probably wouldn’t expect something that new and exclusive to have public data on it). I know a few in the tt community have now bought one but sadly, having taken the financial risk, it’s probably unfair to expect such riders to share their experiences on a forum.
I hope to test mine in the coming weeks, and I’ll share my results.

Are you testing it against another helmet or just the two Kask Visors? What Kask helmet you running?

We’ve tested it on a few riders now both at the track and in the tunnel and have yet to find it faster than the standard visor on a Large Mistral or Mistral LW (or medium Beluga but it doesn’t really fit properly). The Large Mistral LW (the one with the big side wedges) has also not been faster on anyone yet than the standard Large Mistral on the same rider.
I have the Bambino Pro Evo. My plan would be to simply test the standard visor vs the aero pro visor. I just need the spring winds to decrease so I can test. Xavier’s feedback is similar to what I had heard from a friend. My friend speculated that maybe the aero visor is only beneficial for those “very fast” riders.

Not sure if they’ve changed the way they make them, I’ve had a few Kask helmets and all of them had the same issue with the visor - the tint film would start bubbling and flaking off.
Haven’t tested it or seen one in the flesh but looking at the rider types who use it and those who don’t from Ineos and riders associated with Dan Bigham I have my own theory.
Head down riders aren’t using it. Head up riders such as Ganna, GT and Pidcock are using it.

I have a theory on this one (one that could only be proven using a smoke wand in a wind tunnel so you could see what was going on) in that the reason many people may not be seeing any gain with this visor is because many triathletes or amateur TT’ers run a far higher hand position than a UCI world tour pro due to the rules. As a result, the air that would strike the helmet is seeing a fair bit of disruption or deflection before it gets to the visor. A world tour pro may well have their hands slightly low enough for the visor, at the velocity they are doing, to do something. I’ll get one to play with but I doubt the precision of a field test will pick it up anyway.
I haven’t been able to test them but I had received 4 of them. 2 mirror and 2 clear. I have a small Ineos Bambino Evo Pro from CYKOM. The clear seems to be slightly smaller than the mirror but the mirror seem to fit nicer with the helmet that I have. Either way, I’m really not impressed with the construction of the helmet or the visors compared to ever other aero helmet/visor combo that I’ve owned or ridden.

There’s an new aero visor coming out, yes?
I currently have Bambino evo pro on the way.
No idea. Maybe but the old pro visor got banned by the UCI.
