I’ve never tried them, but he seems to like them pretty well.
I was very exited to get one, but now I really don’t like the sole - very stiff for me. I would advise you to try them first if you can
I have a pair of M3s. They are a tad on the narrow side but I read somewhere that the '09 models will be a bit wider for the American market. Other than that I liked the feel of them and will be waiting for the '09s.
I have 2 pair and love them. I don’t think the sole is too stiff, but you do need to get teh right pair.
Not for the wide foot. 09’s will be wider then 2008 models. I’ve was told my extra wide foot might fit into one but that my extra, extra wide foot still will not.
I train in the M10’s – their lightweight trainers and love 'em. Also had pair of the M1’s two years ago and felt as though they molded to my feet. They wore out fairly quickly, but love the funky colors and the comfort of the shoes.

I just saw the 2009 catalog and it’s a little unclear how things are changing since all the shoes have new names. The shoes are shown as illustrations rather than photos, so it’s not immediately clear if they will look as retro. The rep said that they will have new fit with wider forefoot and additional cushioning on some models. Uh oh…
I have a pair of m3’s and I really like them. They are a bit stiff but that’s the way I like my shoes. I did find that once I wore them out, my legs felt it. they are a bit narrow and run a half size small.
