I bought a pair of the original Karbon Speed wheels when they were launched last year and I’ve been very happy with them.
Just recently, I got an email telling me that the company is now under new ownership (HQ moved from Texas to California) and that the new owners would only be selling the 2nd generation wheel, the XA Series. They would not be selling the 1st generation wheel (now branded as the Element).
This tells me that there must be a stash of Elements somewhere, presumably with the original owners, which might be available at good prices. I wouldn’t mind buying a 50mm front as an alternative to my 88mm.
Anybody know the whereabouts of James Blair (CEO) and the original team?
The new owners obviously know but aren’t very interested in connecting me with them (they’d rather have me upgrade to XAs!)
