Kalloy Uno components?

Anyone have any experience with or know anything about Kalloy Uno bike components? I’m looking for a new stem with a rather unique size and angle off ebay and they seem to be the only manufacturer that has what I’m looking for.

Very cheap stuff, but sometimes is your only option for quill stems and the like.

I have a Kalloy Uno stem on my shiv. Light, inexpensive (from eBay), stiff, works great.

They have been around for a lonnng time. One of the first Taiwanese manufacturers to go to market under their own name. Typically very inexpensive, heavier than Cinelli et al, but I never knew anybody that had any problems with their stuff. I’ve used stems, bars and seatposts of theirs, no complaints.

I’m with Titanflxer on this one.

I’ve used them on several bikes and I think they’re better than most stems. To add to the list, the handlebar clamp seems to be ‘gentler’ on carbon handlebars and yet just as secure. The procedure (instructions are provided) is simple, you bottom-out the top two handlebar clam bolts and torque down the bottom bolts to spec. No uneven clamping and no compression marks on the carbon.

They are stiff, and generally lighter than any carbon clamp you can buy!

I have a retro Uno in 3D Violet stem for the other halfs retro MTB !

No thrills stuff but it certainly lasts well (the older stuff at least).

I’ve used the Uno stem and the Hylix stem on Ebay. With titanium bolts they are very light and plenty stiff. Even one of the lightweight boutique shops, Fairwheel bikes carries them at a slightly higher price but they do take the wait and warranty issue on themselves so worth a little bit more.

Taiwan manufacturer with outstanding quality. They have been around for many years and manufacture for other companies.

No issues at all using their products.
