Just what you didn't know you needed - 24 hr Waffle House delivery!

Starting Sept. 8, DoorDash and Waffle House are teaming up to deliver the iconic diner chain’s waffles, hashbrowns and more from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. nationwide

But in some cities, including Nashville, select locations will offer delivery through DoorDash 24/7. Other cities with the all-day service include Atlanta; Charleston, South Carolina; Cincinnati; Columbus, Ohio; and New Orleans.

Whether it’s scattered, smothered or covered, a late-night snack or early morning pick me up, the restaurant’s “most beloved menu items” will be available to be delivered, according to a press release. The delivery roll-out is timed to Waffle House’s 70th anniversary.

“At Waffle House, we’ve built our brand on consistency, hospitality and being there for our customers, day or night,” said Patrick Marshburn, the company’s executive vice president, in a prepared statement. “Partnering with DoorDash allows us to extend that same dependable experience beyond our restaurant walls, making it easier than ever for guests to enjoy the Waffle House comfort they love, from the comfort of their home."

Customers can place orders directly through Waffle House’s website or the Waffle House ordering mobile app with DoorDash Drive on-demand powering the deliveries.

Oh man, I wonder how long the delivery apps have been knocking on their doors begging to get them on the apps like a 6’ finance bro in NYC.

Although I do think something will be lost without the homey feel that Waffle House always seems to provide at 2am.

75% of the appeal of Waffle House is going to Waffle House.

I can make greasy spoon food in my own home no problem.

For an extra $50 they can bring someone to fight with while you’re eating.

It’ll be interesting to see if Door Dash can deliver that same “too much grease and just a hint of cigarette ash” experience in home delivered Waffle House food.

Still never been to a Waffle House

We were in FL for spring break I was hungry…I saw one…My wife looked at me and asked “why?”

Despite having lived in the south for the past 33 years (NC, TX, and FL) and extensively traveling all over the southeast, I don’t think I have ever eaten at a Waffle House. I say I think because I remember going into the one in Panama City Beach near the old Ironman Florida race site but I also remember leaving because the wait was too long. Damn triathletes. So at best I’ve eaten at Waffle House once… but I don’t think I did.

Jesus. As a retired Gman, I would have expected you to have averaged at least one arrest per year at a Waffle House
