What bottle cage and Garmin computer mount does Jordan have on his bike in the wind tunnel photos? He had a Zipp prototype on his bike at Kona last year but the one in the recent photo looks different and it doesn’t look like the Speedfil Z4.

That’s not the Z4, Speedfils unit is one piece (combo Garmin mount/bottle cage).
I think the Z4 is a cleaner setup than what he’s running.
The cage itself looks to be a Specialized Rib Cage. How it is mounted and what Garmin mount it is…dunno.
anyone know of any other BTB (behind the bottle) Garmin mounts like that?
Cage is just a Specialized rib cage.
The mount, not sure. But given Jordan’s propensity for inventiveness & clean solutions, in combination with his Zipp relationship, I’d wager that the boys in Indy whipped something up for him.
I’d say it was homemade if it were not for the native 1/4 turn mount.
It’s a prototype mount from Zipp. Jordan answered that in the wind tunnel thread.
I have this one by Xlab

Eric-
Not behind the bottle, but directly on top of the bottle. Using the A2 Speedfil top and a normal bottle. Took 2 zip ties and secured the garmin mount to the bottle, then mount garmin to bottle. I have detailed pictures if you want them. Quick, easy, and cheap.

I did my training ride with the Z4 yesterday for the first time. I like the Z4 especially compared to my homemade mount.
Here is my blog review from that experience with some up close pictures of the mount.

X2 love it
Interesting, you mounted the water bottle “backwards”
Any reason why. I run the torpedo BTA and have always had it the other way.
Have you noticed any advantages /dis?
Underneath was an interesting look too.

When I was looking for a solution to the issue of having both the bottle and the Garmin display sharing the same location I noticed a number of pictures on the web with the bottles pointing backwards. Like you I was curious, but when I started to attach and looking at having it point forwards that the way my bars at the shifter turn inward and pulling the bottle out the front would be tight. So I thought I would give this setup with the bottle facing backward a try. My first fear was a potential leaky bottle dripping sticky fluid down the cables and headset, but after yesterday’s first ride with it I am very pleased.
The underneath served well for the past year, but I know it wasn’t as good as being tucked behind the forearms. However, I am a recreational cyclist and do not race at all so CdA is not as crucial to me, but I still feel better about “cleaning” up the front of the bike a little.
x 3. I used to just use zip ties for my bta, but it never felt tight enough. The bta design by alden is super light, yet exceptionally functional. Perfect function and form!
