Joe Thorne Runs 2:43:28

This is the guy who was trying to go sub 2:40…

Pretty damn impressive.

Last 9 miles @ 5:51 avg. DAYUM. 2nd fastest run split of the day?

That is OFF THE HOOK…man what a run!

Granted he missed his goal of going <2:40, but with all the bullsh#t that people throw around the internet & ridiculous claims about what they will do & every excuse in the book why they didn’t do it, I have a lot of respect for a guy who puts it out there & actually backs it up. 8:59 in Kona is very impressive.

damn. that’s crazy. so i guess he didn’t sit in T2 for 20 minutes to prep for the run.

Very impressive.

i hate to be negative, in an ironman that was so excellent

please, do not egg me on to be negative, by characterizing a guys failure to achieve his goals in a positive way

DAMNIT

TOO LATE
.

actually his final time is arguably more impressive than his run.

im back to being positive again, I feel happy of myself

I was hoping someone would re-visit this.
Pretty darn impressive run…

.

I raced him @ BLST 70.3 this year. He ran by me at like mile 3-4ish like i was walking and it was about 100F at that point on the run. He is obviously amazing in the heat.
I believe he had the best run split of the day including pro’s. When i saw he was in my AG i knew everyone else was racing for 2nd place haha.

I was third in our AG at BSLT and he simply blew past me around mile 8. Makes me feel a lot better that he had such a solid time at Kona, too!

And your not a shabby runner either.
