Lamisil has worked for me.

Find out if it’s yeast or fungus based first. Do a search on a medical or dermatological site for the answer but, if I remember correctly, the yeast version will be on the shaft and head. Then head to the pharmacy and get some advice. I had the yeast version and thought I was going to scratch it right off.

Rub salt all over it and then when the stinging goes down, give it a splash of isopropyl alk.

Prep the area with apple cidar vinegar first to close the pores.

Rub the entire region with a thick paste of salt to keep the hair standing and ready to be cut.

With the salt still there use a sharp serrated steak knife, or hunting knife to shave away the landscape.

Rinse with rubbing alcohol to be sure that all is clean.

When I was rushing out of the shower without proper drying I would get it.

Since I spend time to dry myself up I do not have this problem anymore.
