American Jocelyn McCauley has had two top-tier finishes in Kona, finishing 10th in 2017 and again in 2023, the last time the women raced on the Big Island. She is back in Hawaii once more this year, and she is looking to record yet another big result at the IRONMAN World Championship.

McCauley has only raced a couple of times in 2025, finishing second at IRONMAN New Zealand (a race where she often finds big results, including a pair of wins) and eighth at 70.3 St. George. She will be lining up for her second full-distance race of the year in Kona on Saturday, riding her trusty Ventum Tempus along the Big Island’s iconic lava fields.

We got the chance to visit McCauley in Kona on Tuesday, when she gave us a closer look a the bike that she hopes can carry her into the top 10 once more in Hawaii. – Ben Snider-McGrath
