Shout out to her and the 5430 crew today… she was handing out prizes at the finish line during the kids 5430 triathlon this morning. It was a great time for all!

That was kinda cool. My son after he got his “award” this morning asked who that woman was. But he recognized Matt Reed and had to assk for photo opp. Nice job 5430!

The German ie/ei pronunciation rules are so nice, and work most of the time in English.
Of course I have a cow-orker whose name is Riedel and is pronounced Reidel. I’m thinking
about making him change it.

409 kids, ages 3 (!) to 15, were treated at the finish line by not only Joanna; but, also, Simon Thompson and Kelly Jarrett - all 3 of whom are racing the 5430 Long Course on Sunday, as well as Billy Edwards and Brandon del Campo. It was really, really amazing to see these guys - on a Saturday morning - take 2-3 hours to applaud and welcome the kids - very inspirational, very classy. The best part was watching them all play with the kids finisher awards: yo-yo’s … hilarious!
BTW - 5430 Long Course Sunday morning - possibly the first time ever where 3 current triathlon World Champions of the same sex all toe the line together: Zeiger, Dibens, and Wellington!
