Will a Jet 60 C2 or Jet Disc C2 fit in the P2’s rear triangle without rubbing? I have last years Jet 60 C2 with the fatter bulge…
Yes, I have Jet disc with the bulge on p2c
.
Jet C2 60 will fit as will the Jet Disc. It’s the Jet C2 90 that’s a really tight fit, however they make a skinny version of the 90 as a result. Right now I have a C2 60 on the rear and there are no issues at all.
I have the Jet Disc C2 23mm (not the skinny version) on my 2008 P2C. I know there have been issues re: fit on P2C or P3C etc. but all I can say is it fits on my bike no problem. I called Hed before I bought it and they told me where to measure and the necessary clearance (you can search this forum and find the reference to the exact place to measure and the necessary clearance) and it just wasn’t an issue.

Obviously, picture is just gratuitous since it doesn’t show the clearance, but I like the disc so much and am so shocked I actually learned how to post a picture that I posted it anyway ![]()
Cut your steerer tube and get some sunglasses freddie. ![]()
I know, I posted this earlier as a critique my position and got advice (including cut the tube). FWIW, I have a herniated disc in my neck and thought I might need the height and didn’t want to hack the tube last year until I was sure I was comfortable. However, it ended up being a non-issue (has never bothered me at all on the bike much to my pleasant surprise) and now it is still there because I am slack. I have previously posted on the poser factor of a guy like me having a disc–but what the hell I like it!
I have the C2 9 on my 2009 P2 and there is very little space left, but so far I have no problems.

So when you say a skinny version of the 90, is it still built on the wider C2 rim, just with a skinnier bulge?
I think this is where the confusion comes in. People are interested in the wider C2 rims, but wide rim, plus wide bulge seems like it may have clearance issues. Obviously skinny rim doesn’t present any issues, but is what you are describing still the wider rim but with a skinnier bulge?
I have a P2C and last year I ran a Jet 60 C2 front and a Jet 90 C2 rear. These were completely standard Jet C2s. Both worked fine but the tolerences on the rear were really tight. You can make it work, but you need to get the screws in the dropouts just right. As a result of the tight tolerence on the Jet 90 C2 rear Hed now makes a “skinny” Jet 90 C2 rear. The skinny refers to the carbon portion of the wheel and that’s where the bulge was which created the tight tolerence. Jet 60 C2 has absolutely no issues on the rear of my P2C nor does the Jet disc. I’m now running Jet 6s and 9s (they seemend to have renamed them from 60s and 90s) and a Jet Disc. For ease of installation I changed to the “skinny” Jet 9 C2 and there’s quite a bit more room in back. I hope this answers the questions.
Yes, the “skinny” refers to the fairing, not the rim width.
It does perfectly, thanks. Jet C2 9 rear and 6 front will be my race wheels.
Are dealers aware of the “skinny” C2 version? I am assuming I could speak to Hed directly and pay MSRP, but would rather save a little money and give the dealer the business, as long as they were able to get a hold of the “skinny” C2 9 rear.
I am running c2 60/90’s on a 2009 P2 with no problems. It is very tight though.
