This is crappy… Unfortunately a lot of people get their bikes stolen in SF, but I have a feeling this was someone who was specifically going after this bike.
Sadly, the bike thieves in SF typically part out the bike on CL&eBay and trash the frame.
Look for one seller listing a lot of the parts (Di2, Rolf wheels, DA crank, etc.).
Just making sure the word gets out.

Somebody had their bike stolen at packet pickup for Alcatraz. How much would that suck. Day before the race. Apparently he even had it locked on his roof rack.
I’m not a fan of bike insurance but you honestly went up a notch in my book with this post. When I saw your username and before I read your post, the first thought that went through my head was “oh boy, here comes a sales pitch for bike insurance.” Classy move.
