Was looking forward to binge watching this as I enjoyed season 1.
Three words describe each season 2 - Jump the shark.
The plot is laughable with numerous holes.
Don’t waste your time.
The only redeeming quality is Nooni Rapace who is excellent as always.

I agree, it’s tired. I love it that the super smart CIA guy who gives lectures sleeps with a blatantly obvious intelligence operative and leaves classified material on hotel room table while sleeping. Any actual CIA agent would be fired outright for either of those things. Jack Ryan I thought was supposed to more realistic and serious, but it’s more campy than Bond films.
S2 E1 was basically the movie Clear and Present Danger. I kept waiting for Williem Dafoe to appear.

I honestly only watched it because I love the books and saw a commercial. Didn’t realize it was on USA until part way through the episode
Season 2 wasn’t as good as the first, but I still liked it. A good little Boy Scout twist at the end. Definitely not season #1, but you’ll enjoy it still.

It’s a lightweight but fun watch. They’ve definitely filled their stereotype quota.

I’m only on episode 3, but this a poor assessment of the show.
