Jack and Adam's Bike Shop in Austin

I am having some warranty work done on my bike. I am doing this through a bike shop in Austin. It is not quite going how I would like it to.

A friend of mine happens to be friends w/ Jack. My only noteworthy purchase in his store is a wetsuit. My friend told Jack about my warranty work.

Regardless, he is trying to help speed up my bike repair.

I am amazed that he would do this for someone who bought the bike at another shop.

I am amazed at the service he is providing! Since he is doing me a huge favor with not much to gain I thought I would share.

I don’t have any experience with the Bike shop side, but the staff is generally very helpful and they put on and sponsor the best local races.

I have known Jack and Drew for some time now and they really great people… Even when Lavato was sill in Austin and we used to ride together on the SAturday morning rides before they open their shop at Barton Sprigs. Actually in 2004 when I was starting my company they believed in me and my products and they made the very 1st purchase I swill have the copy of their check framed and proudly displayed :slight_smile:

These guys have great service and I would recommend them to all triathletes.

I’d have to back up and agree what has already been said about Jack. He’s one of the truly “real people” out there that works his @ss off for folks because its the right thing to do, not because he thinks it will get him extra business or because the guy’s a pro, etc.

He’s been the team mechanic for the Team USA age group team traveling to various ITU World Championships. I roomed with him one year - he was up before dawn every day and down working on bikes and usually didn’t finish until after midnight. Even helped a local Aussie guy fix up his commuter bike just because he asked Jack a couple of questions about what he needed from the bike shop.

He’s also usually out in Kona working on a few bikes for the Austin crew that makes it out there.
