It's still f*$%n raining!

Seriously- I have a 50 miler planned tomorrow. The rain is not letting up for the next 2 days here in SoCal. If I spend one more day on an indoor trainer (with or sans chafing) I am going to be so burnt out. Hellllllllllllllllllp!!! Anybody live in LA area and want to brave the rain with me?

Come over to Chicago! Today did my 4 hour ride and still cant feel my butt.

You are NUTS! Honestly…4 hours indoors? What movies did you watch? How many times did you have to change clothes??

The cry like a biatchh thread is actually a couple of posts up from here. Are you sure you did not intend to reply? What it rains 10 days a year in Socal? Then what it will 75 the rest of the winter? Some of us rode many miles in the freezing f’iing cold today here in the east. Some may have even been dodging snowflakes. If ever someone needed a reminder. Just substitute California for Australia.

That’s too bad. It’s -8C and snowing here in the Toronto area! Whats your problem?

Shoulda looked at the forecast and swapped days. We went 4 hours/ 75 miles today, Redondo Beach to Trancas, other than the wind was a perfect morning to ride.

I agree with ChrisM. Today (Saturday) was perfect here in Orange County. Sunny in the morning…in fact most of the day, and not much wind here until the afternoon. I always swap my bike/swim/run days depending on the forecast. Swim and run on the rainy days, and save the bike for the dry days.

No kidding. It was mid-60s here in Central California when I went for my ride. Hot diggity! Beautiful.

I had a fun 3h trainer/30min run/ brick today. I had to work earlier when we had that nice break in the weather.
Same 3 weeks ago.
My biggest complaint about the heavy rain is that the cars don’t see you, at all, and after all these days of rain there is @#*t all over the right side of the road.
Venturing out into lanes is playing Russian Roulet when it’s raining hard.

My 90 min run in the rain and wind, tomorrow, is going to be fun, too.

pretty moist up there, eh?

only -8? it’s -18 here…no snow, but nice and windy.

life must be tough in so cal

I had the final 2 DVDs of LOST season 3 and time to time I catch up the small computrainer guy on the screen. Real fun is doing 2 hour runs on the treadmill. I started to enjoy these little sadistic trainings.

I hate all of you.

I’m from SoCal and now living in Central Cal and I hate to break it to you, but you need to stop being a softie. Just ride. It’s not that cold.

Or watch this and substituted Hawaii with California…

Jodi

I did 42mi ride and 6mi run yesterday morning/ early afternoon(Sat). It was really a nice day.

As others said, we don’t have much to complain about in SoCal.

PS: Did you get your ride in today?

It was nice here this morning but it’s getting cloudy now. No rain…yet.

Hope you had a good run.

The funny thing is that the forecasters predicted “massive, heavy rain saturday night through monday morning… as much as 5 inches… etc”

I wake up here in Seal Beach and the sun is shining. They blew it again.

It’s all here in the mid part of the state.

50s here in FL with 20+mph winds, good bit of working going 30+miles into the headwind on the way back but its great weather for training.
