It's snowing in mid michigan

Just stepped out to take out the garbage when I noticed little white flakes swirling around. The flakes were few and far between but definetly snow.

A little further south, it’s very brisk but clear. I was out for this morning’s run and saw the last remnants of the night’s Northern Lights!! I stopped, turned off my headlamp, and just stared. My eyes were watering from the cold and I could see my breath, but it was pure bliss.

i just finihsed biking and we got the snow falling right now in northern NY.It,s the lake thing.

I had to actually put tights on over my bike shorts Saturday. That really sucked!

That’s why I left west Michigan for NW Florida.

I think it’ll be another week and a half or so before I actually have to put a shirt on over my sports bra when I go out to run.

Damn, I have to go to Lansing tomorrow. I don’t want no steenking snow yet. I was in Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Holland, and Lacota today. Lots of sun and no snow. Woo Hoo!

Please say it isn’t so!!! I have a 20 mile training run- last long one- this weekend and really wanted to get them all in before the snow started flying. Maybe you are in the UP?

Where do you consider Mid-Michigan, Houghton Lake or Lansing?

Yes, it snowed, or rather a sort of ice pellet fell from the sky today. It was shocking, but all the kids at the school were incredibly excited. I, on the other hand, am sad to see the season over. However, I did my last road race of the year yesterday and am looking forward to some off days. Time to start the wood stove and hunker down for a few months. I envy all you folks in the sunny south, but I do enjoy the off months. It makes the spring exciting (I think we have, what? five months to go?) Start counting now.

This is EXACTLY why I moved back out here to Hawaii last May. Couldn’t take anymore of that funny white stuff

Great! Snow in Michigan means it is time to get serious in the pool. Time to crank up the yardage and tighten the intervals and make some real progress. Ahh the days of your hair freezing on the way to the car are just around the corner…I can’t wait!
