It's finally over! We won!

No more time changes for BC.

It’s amazing what a deeply unpopular and floundering government can suddenly accomplish.

Congrats! Now BC and Arizona will be the same time, always, since we don’t observe DST either. Even more reason for me to visit BC more often.

That’s it. I’m moving to British Columbia. Will they let me in even though I’m not British or Columbian?

Your best bet is to apply as a refugee. You’re from Florida, right? I’d say you have a strong case.

Standard time should be just that, standard. Daylight Savings time is what should go away.

I don’t mind one way or another. But I sure will not miss all the whining about twice a year event.

No, but if we split the difference that would be an ok compromise.

It’ll be interesting to see what this does to Whistler’s operating hours. 9:30am-4:30pm now for early season?

I was just reading about that.

Concerns are it’s going to lead to an absolute shit show at opening time as more people from Vancouver have time to drive up and clog up the highway closer to business hours.

I hear vail owned resorts in the US are generally 9-4? I’m not sure if the new daylight hours would allow alignment with that.

Now the sun will be at it’s apex at 1:30 pm in the winter and 1:15 in the summer…

UTC -8:00 is centered on 120W. Vancouver, at 123W, is now going to be on UTC -7:00.

Lucky!
