It's bike to work day. Did you?

Yo ST crew. Did you know that today was bike to work day? I read about it yesterday evening so I got the single speed ready and rode it to work this morning.
Just wondering if you rode your bike to work today. These suits have never seen a bike in their space before. They kind of liked it.

Post a pic of your ride invading the office.

As luck would have it, I’m working from home today, so …

I bike to work nearly every day, rain or shine, sun or snow, in Minneapolis. I’m lucky, though, that my office is only a little over 2 miles from my house. If the temps go below 10F or there’s piled-up snowdrifts (like during our recent April blizzard), I can just walk.

I was going to, as it is Bike to work week.
But I have an overuse injury in my leg from cycling and can barely walk…

I biked to work Mon, and yesterday.

Yesterday was full-on Fred/power mode - P4 in total race mode, with disk cover and Jet90 front.
I made very good time. : )

Yup. 37.5 miles according to Garmin.

Stopped at Rosslyn Centennial Park for WABA’s free food, coffee, t shirts and water bottle. My jersey pockets have never been so full.

I would have…only if I could park my bike next to my cube
.

Yes sir!!!

I rode my bike on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday totalling about 90 miles. Today a thunderstorm is forcasted so I drove in.

It’s a big party here in Seattle. I passed at least 8 stops with water bottles, coffee, and bagels. I had to quit stopping because my jersey pockets were getting too full. I got some nice socks at one place. Not bad.

Huh, in Houston bike to work day was celebrated with a couple of erratic driving moms pulling into my lane, one during a left turn.

I did notice a couple extra bikes in the racks when I racked mine this morn.

Exactly! We can’t bring our bikes into the building at all so I am not going to ride and leave any of my bikes outside. Plus it’s raining today.

No.

I’ve tried it a few times in Houston, there just isn’t a good way to go North/South on the west side. No shoulders or bike lanes, lots of traffic, and no reasonable alternate path.

I ride everyday, sold the truck 8 years ago. Here’s my ride hanging from the wall. (I work for a bike shop)

Rode to work on Monday and today. Usually ride 3 to 4 times a week, good thing as well as gas just took a jump up, just in time for the long weekend. hmmmmmmm.

Mines from Heights to GW Plaza, but I ride through downtown and the eastside down the Columbia TAP Rails to Trails then on the Brays Bayou bike trail - can get an ~18miler in that round-about way, mostly on bike trails.

I can see how out west you’d be pretty much screw’ed trying to ride North-South

Yea, I’m in Katy area and work near the race track.

I can get to George Bush with just a couple of miles of busy road, Maybe without any roads if I did some dark trails. And that would get me inside 8… but I’m not going that way.

Do you have a wicked mustache to go with that thing? I didn’t because I have a race tomorrow…sad.
