It starts tomorrow

Race Season.

For many people around the world- those toeing the line at the Superfrog/SuperSEAL Triathlon, the men turning a pedal in anger at the Tour of Flanders, and the dashing men who take to the track at Melbourne in the year’s first Formula 1 race: Tomorrow is a huge day in racing- triathlons, bicycles, cars.

Tomorrow mankind begins the spring ritual of putting other matters aside and engaging in the most noble of sporting contests: A contest of speed.

If you are racing anything tomorrow, good luck to you. Your place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

I think the Tour of Flanders is NEXT Sunday…

Barry-Roubaix was today…looked fast.

Criterium International is on tomorrow. Go Jens!

Fiddlesticks. You’re right about Flanders.

Oh well, SuperSEAL and the Australian Gp are tomorrow. Two out of three is OK I suppose…

Tom,

Indeed - the real endurance sports season got under way in Ontario yesterday with the 115th running of the Around The Bay 30k road race in Hamilton - the oldest running race in North America. Despite the economic troubles record numbers of people turned out - close to 10,000 in total - on what was a truly ugly day. It was 6C, with pouring rain and strong swirling winds that seemed to always be in your face.
